“No matter what your age or your life path, whether making art is your career or your hobby or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or to silly to work on your own creativity.” Julia Cameron, The Artist’s Way
You have chosen this workshop. I welcome you. You are in the right place, at the right time, and on the right path. You have chosen to dedicate yourself to this journey of self-discovery for 6 weeks. You have chosen to put forth your best effort at attending, doing the “homework” and moving forward in a space of creative flow.
I am resilient. I am passionate. I am fun and playful. I am committed to my well-being and my compassion in the hopes that it makes a positive difference in the world. I am a teacher. My path has led to me to build communities and guide people in yoga, meditation, social/emotional learning, and educate youth with special needs. I am a Wellness Coach, encouraging, supporting and directing people to live their purpose. I connect with others and make spaces for gathering.
Today's societal and personal challenges are currently compounded with isolation, fear and anxiety. I offer love and understanding, honesty, and authentic communication. I have learned that these are the key to facilitating personal growth and healthy connections with people in all areas of life.
My mission is to help people of all abilities, wherever they are in life, and guide them through challenges with creativity, consciousness and compassion.
I am deeply grateful to the following amazing teachers that have led me to this moment; Gopala Yaffa (Rainbow Yoga), Francoise Freedman, (Birthlight, fertility to school age), Street Yoga (trauma sensitive yoga), Michelle Pietrzak-Wegner (Yin Yoga), and Vinyasa/Power Yoga (Amelia Ruth), Michael Moore (Iyengar Yoga), Ben Connelly (Soto Zen Buddhist priest at MZMC), and Carol Larsen (spiritual mentor). And to the many wonderful beings that I have met in books, in elevators, on the street, and mountain tops. We are all one another’s teachers.
With a bow,
Carrie
